Kurt said that MSTSbin must be installed on a clean copy of MSTS with the v1.2 update installed.
More here: forums.flightsim.com/vbts/forumdisplay.php?f=84
-Does a clean copy mean that I have to reinstall MSTS? What about all the updates (consists and trainset) that my son created with a clean copy? Should I delete MSTS and keep the MSTS/Trains folder. Then reinstall and then copy the old MSTS/Train Folder to get his old consists and trains? Thanks

Fixed For future reference ... make sure to go to Download it from here: msts.banal.net/updates.htmlThere is a 1.2 English release of MSTS. It includes the Train.EXE, some dll's and some other files 1. We backed up our entire MSTS folder in c:\program files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator folder 2. Then we copied the new dll's and Train EXE to the c:\program files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator folder. Even though there was no change we were able to get back to the vanilla 1.2 version of MSTS 3. We then ran the 1.7 MSTS update and voila it worked 4. Then we ran our Metra EXE's and fixes and everything worked like a charm

I installed it just as it is, didn't re-install MSTS, it worked for me. I'm using WXP SP3 operating system.

Does that mean I half to install MSTS by CD instead of the E-drive?

Install MSTS = install from CD to whatever logical (C, D, E, F, etc) drive you wish to put it on.
