Awesome job on the F40s. Have one tiny problem though... It caused the game to crash after loading game. I have all the things required. But I haven't been able to tackle what causes it to crash. Running on windows xp too.

Any error, or just the MS S/DS?

Hi kurt, No errors at all, When i try to load an explore route with the F40s installed the game shuts down just prior getting into any engine. So what i did was remove the consists and F40s from the Trainset and Consist folder an the game is works.. It's one of those annoying msts problems. I think it conflicts something installed in the game. Being that my MSTS is around 23 gigs there could be a more then 5 thousand possibilities! Hopefully you figure out what the problem is though! I stalked KLW's site for months checking 5 times a day lol.

Try this - re-install the units again, and remove about 20mb worth of other unused equipment from Trainset, along with their respective consist files. If it doesn't give trouble, it means that you've hit one of those MSTS limits (in which case, it's TrainStore time).

I'm hesitant to ask whether your copy of BIN is installed properly (don't want to sound like a broken record), but might I ask if you have any addons with animated doors set for BIN? If so, do those animations work?

Yup, Your NJT comet's doors work fine. I have MSTS bin1.8 All doors work fine. I tried throwing the F40 Cab into a Transit F40 but that caused it to crash also. So now i'm going to revert back to the old cab an see if anything happens..
Well the old cab works an the game is fine now. I wonder what is up my MSTS's codded A** lol

I think I have it - does your video card have the ability to render 1280x1024?

No problem - other then a few fellows on Trainsim.com, you're my only other source of data for this problem.
That said:
-Is the sim running at 1280x1024 as well? -What is the model of video card that you have? You're running XP, I take it? -If you re-alias the cab to another cabview, will it load? -Do this test for me if possible: Retain the original cabview .CVF, then go to the directory "..TRAINS\TRAINSET\Common.Cab\KLW_F40MPI" - clone MPISPD.ace and re-name the clone to notex.ace. Load sim and report results. -If you can't get into the sim with anything else after these tests, reboot the entire computer and try again (I had one case wherein I got S/DS which was due to me not rebooting after changing the sim's resolution in the settings).

Ok, Kurt I ckoned MPISPD.ACE an renamed it to notex.ace. The entire game crashed upon startup. I replaced the cab in the coaster F40 with the MLT Via Cab and the unit runs fine. So It must be something in the cabview. I have XP and 256 MB Ati Graphic card. That can easily handle it as long as you know what your doing. The game is also at 1280x1024. So I'm quite confused to what in the cabview is causing the conflict. Also a friend of mine Installed the f40s on his computer and the entire game died. Of course he uses vista. So he had to redo the entire game to get it back to working status.

Out of curiosity...are you trying to run it on NECv4? NW_611 at Trainsim.com has been encountering similar oddball problems, but it only happens when using the KLW-included cab and his NECv4. Any other route with the KLW cab works fine, and any other cab on the NECv4 works fine. (Go figure that one out ). -Kurt

It's with any route. Once i have that cab in any unit inside my trainset folder is will not let me load any game on any of the 25 routes i own. Just for the record I really appreciate your help with my problem here...
