All parts parented, main doors animating properly as of 2:03 a.m. - time to call it a day.
Still have to take care of the dilemma of the center doors - if animated as a parent of the main doors, they disappear into the car walls, and if animated as separate doors, only one door will animate.
Have to think about how to get around this.

Here are the most recent in-game shots of the finished car (with unfinished textures). I will be issuing a beta to KLW Members to double-check stability of the .S file (not that I have any particular doubts) as soon as Dan sends me the .WAG files for it. Take care, -Kurt

Interior view done. 85,000-poly behemoth that takes 20 minutes to export out of TSM. 140,000+ lines of code in the .S file. Should come up under the heading of "disaster:" -Kurt

What still needs improvement? As it is now, I cannot get it into the sim. Will have to re-do the seating with fewer polys, though it shouldn't look much different then it does now. -Kurt

Just cut it down to just over 35k polys. We'll see what the result is.

2:23 a.m., KLW Laboratories  Something in the texture references of the shape file get mixed up when rendered in the sim, but don't let it be said that the sim won't handle a 35,027-poly object: It's progress... -Kurt
