Dear KLW Forum Members,
Thank you for taking the time to visit and sign up for our forum. We hope that our forum will help make the MSTS hobby even more enjoyable for you.
Of course, to keep things in order, we have a list of set guidelines for our members to follow. Please take a few minutes to read the rules prior to posting:
1. Flames and/or personal attacks are forbidden. End of story. Posts of this nature will be deleted as soon as possible, and members that continuously violate this rule will be banned.
2. Please keep posts within the scope of the topic and avoid off-topic posts not relevant to the thread at hand. See this informative - and humorous - video if in doubt: www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting (or www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9q2jNjOPdk)
3. Creating identical or similar posts in multiple forum sections is wasteful and shows a lack of courtesy. Please choose the proper topic to post your message in. If, for some reason, your post is in the wrong forum section, send a PM, and I'll re-locate it for you.
4. "Chat"/Chatspeak and other forms of abbreviated language are not acceptable. Do not use them. Your posts may be deleted, and in extreme cases, such "language" could get you banned. Likewise, trash talk is equally unacceptable. This forum is not MySpace or Facebook.
5: If you have a question, punctuate it with a question mark at the end. Asking the question "What route is that on?" with a period ("What route is that on.") as opposed to a question mark is irritating, rude, and can be interpreted as a demand to be given an answer. Posts that fail to make use of this fundamental law of grammar will be deleted or edited for content. Users who refuse to correct this behavior after a warning may have their forum account suspended; it will be considered a form of Chatspeak.
6. All caps and/or superfluous exclamation marks are considered shouting, and often fall under the heading of Chatspeak. Unless you have a good reason for it, avoid it.
7. Do not make addon requests to us. We make what we wish to produce for the simulator, nothing else. For those who insist on suggesting the creation of new content to other creators, we have an Items Wanted forum for you to utilize.
8. Badgering us to release an addon won't make us go any faster. We work at our pace, and release when we can. Do not ask/demand that the addon will come in a dozen different variations. Asking will result in your thread or post removed; demanding will suspend your forum account indefinitely.
9. Discussion of the politics and structuring of other addon groups is not suggested. If you have a beef with another addon group, please take it - privately - to them.
10. If you already have a record of file piracy, or have proved yourself an irresponsible individual on any other forum, you will be banned on the spot. Do not even bother signing up.
11. If your account is banned, you will not gain any brownie points with us by sending us threatening emails demanding its reactivation. You will be permenantly blacklisted from KLW, along with other forums who partner with us in keeping riffraff out of the Train Simulation community.
12. All these seemingly ominous rules aside, please relax and enjoy the discussions.
Happy trainsimming,
Kurt K.
