For all of you running any variant of GP40-2 made by KLW (excluding GP40X models), we have added updated shape files for each model, revising the oudated Blomberg B models with a B-variant of our current KLW Blomberg M truck standard as used on the GP40X and MP36PH-3S.
This update is available for all KLW-made GP40-2 models excluding the GP40-2W from the GO Transit Beta Pack. Each update is unique to the variant of the locomotive you are running; the respective downloads will be available in the file library.
Take care,
-Kurt

Hello Luke, You got it: Closed roller bearing ends: Open ends: Each unit features the correct variant Blomberg B (or M) as based on the prototype. Take care, -Kurt

Those look great Kurt. Do the bearing end caps spin as well?

You bet - the bearing ends spin on the open models, as on the MP36PH-3S and GP40X models with the Blomberg Ms.
Take care,
-Kurt

I think spinning roller bearing caps are the cream of the crop when it comes to train sim. So many people often neglect little things as such. I'm VERY glad that it is not forgotten here! I knew I liked KLW for some reason....lol

Those look great Kurt. Do the bearing end caps spin as well? That's a very good point about our hobby. Earlier this week someone at work who does a lot of scale model railroading was lamenting how if he makes a perfect roller-bearing in H-O scale, it could make the whole model look less realistic because it would be so much easier to notice that it's not spinning! Really then, from that point of view, don't we have the more accurate hobby? David Carleton

Didn't Athearn develop spinning roller bearing ends for their Genesis line of equipment?
EDIT: Just checked my Athearn Genisis 50 footers - indeed, they do spin. The sides aren't particularly good representations of 100-ton roller bearing trucks, however.
