Hi. I live in good ol' Virignia. Where I live, we commonly see alot of Amtrak, CSX, UP, NS, and VRE ( Virginia Railway Express ) movement on the mainlines. The locomotives used by VRE are most commonly scratch built EMD GP series locos or rebuilds of older EMD units. They most commonly include the RP38-2 or the RP39-2, -3, -4. If any good add-on maker out there will accept my request, here is a photo site for you to look at for reference: www.railpictures.net. They have some wonderful pictures of these locos. Please contact me if you have any questions or further concerns. Thanks alot to everyone, BNSFbuff

Ah, I love that site. The Chicago Metra had sold all but 2 of their powerful 1970's F40C locomotives in 2004. The 2 left were sitting and gathering rust while the MP36s and F40phs took all the glory. But now since the MPs have become unreliable, guess who's back!!?
All of these 1970's guys are on their way towards my house!

P.S. I can't find the RP38-2, -3, or -4 that you're talking about

Hi. I also live in Virginia. However, I live by the SB Main and NB Main for NS whom shares trackage rights with Amtrak. Here I do not see the VRE due to the fact that the rumored expansion of the line has not yet reached my area, however, a few relatives and close friends of mine live in Manassas, VA which is great for VRE action pretty much all day if you wait at the Station near the center of town. I don't know if you have Auran's Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006 or 2004. If you do let me know because I have custom made VRE RP39H-3 #V03 which made her grand appearance about a month ago at the annual Manassas Heritage Railway festival. Also there is another reskin for Auran Trainz that is VRE. Let me know if you want it. P.S. Also try searching for GP40H-2s, 3s. Anything that is an EMD Rebuild. It may be possible for me to toy around with the Trainz VRE Textures and try to apply them to the Tri-Rail GP40H-3 and see what I get ( With permission from the creators of course .) I know I have said a bit much, but I am only trying to help. Thanks for your time and help, everyone. Sincerely, nsrailfann4life91.

IIRC, the NJT GP40PH-2C's are a pretty close match to your PR20's at VRE.

Thats true too. I looked at them and I see the simularities. The only thing that I would have to do in an extra .s (shape file) is put the additional red marker lights below the original LED foward marker lights of the NJT Geep. Good suggestion, Kurt. Thanks. -nsrailfann4life
