The first one is to turn the 3DTrains GP9 from the midwestern pack into a BN GP10 and the second one is to turn the BN SD45 from SLI into this...
It's a little project I've been working on becasue of a request over at the SLI forums. I am too cheap to buy any easy to use modeling software that does animations so most of my projects are restricted to existing frames and trucks. I stumbled my way through Gmax to build and animate trucks for my VO1000 and I vowed not to do it again if I do not need too.
Very, very sharp. Just one suggestion - have you thought of splitting the smoothing down the center point of the nose end? I failed to do that on my GP38-2 model of long ago, and I ended up regretting it - the poly smoothing burnishes the look of the nose far too much. I did remember to split them right on my GP40-2s though (as the 40-2's were completely new builds - 38-2's were lost).
Curious though - aren't animations (for diesel units), for MSTS all applied to part name, regardless of 3D editing program? I thought the BogieX and WheelsXX parameters took care of it automatically.
"Because you're cool, Kurt." "So is my refrigerator."
