Hello all, First post here, but a train simmer for awhile. I am kind of new to the MP36 in the sim (see 'em all the time here in Chicagoland in real life) and was wondering if someone could help with my lights section of the engine. First, i'd be glad to attach my Lights section in a subsequent post (at work now) if it's necessary. What I am trying to accomplish is this: 1) to get my ditchlights to stay full bright on the high light setting in the cab. I have sucessfully made them flash in low setting, but they go off now on the high setting. 2) the middle light - is this the mars light? It is flashing all the time, both in low and high switch settings. What do i need to change to get this light working in prototypical fashion? What is it's prototypical fashoin anyway? I just don't remember the real engines middle light, and how it's set.
Thanks in advance for any assistance, and let me know if you need my light section attached. Or better, if you guys have your section working in prototypical fashion, feel free to attach it for me to look at!
Take care, Neil

I see them all the time and i could not remember. I honestly don't know what the settings are for the mars lite are. The only time i recall seeing one lit is when there were 2 MP36's sitting idling on the first track in union station (the most northeastern track). they were not coupled together and there was an F40 sitting between them. They were all backed into the station (prototypically correct, all trains face "away" from downtown and cab cars towrds downtown). because there was the f40 directly in front of the MP36, it did not look like the headlights were on (via the reflection/light on the back of the unit). there are a few metra fanpage forums, I am sure they can help with that part. I do remember that the RTA/CNW F-units had the yellow mars light on them always on. same on the cab cars.

errrr, amtrak5, re-read my post. It's not that I don't know how to use the switch, it's that I need help editing the .eng light section properly to get the mains to stay on in "full", and the mars to stop flashing in "full".
